I am currently performing in outdoor settings and virtually.
outdoors
I enjoy performing outdoors, in-person at parks, for schools and child care programs, in people’s yards and gardens, on outdoor stages, etc. I arrive in a mask, and then once the audience is settled, I stand 10-12 feet away and remove my mask to perform. Mask on again when the storytelling is over.
In North Carolina, I see no reason not to continue outdoor performances year round. Sunny afternoons, even in winter months are often pleasant, and campfires make good storytelling gatherings as well. In the summer, cool mornings and evenings or some shade and a breeze— totally workable.
I normally plan outdoor performances with a weather plan— either a covered shelter or a rain date.
I’m grateful for the support for live performances and community that people are creating in socially distanced concerts in back yards, forests, fields, etc. Please let me know if you would like to HOST an event like this!
virtual performances and workshops
Virtual performances and workshops can also be scheduled. I have more experience with Zoom than other platforms, but am open to learning or relying on your expertise!
